A Thursday afternoon shooting at 401 N. Best St. in Goldsboro left one man dead, and another man charged with murder.
Officers from the Goldsboro Police Department and deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on North Best Street around 12:38 p.m.
Tyonne Daquez McKinnon, 25, was arrested and charged with the murder of Kelvin Yvonne Coley, 51.
After arriving on the scene, authorities found Coley inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds. Coley was taken to UNC Health Wayne where he later died.
McKinnon is being held at the Wayne County Detention Center with no bond. His first court appearance is Friday.
