On Nov. 8 at approximately 2:04 p.m., officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to Dollar Tree at 916 N. Spence Ave., in response to multiple 911 calls about shots fired inside the business.

Once on the scene, officers discovered that an altercation had occurred inside the business between a store employee and customers. Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the scene and began an investigation.

At this time, it is confirmed that two shots were fired inside the business. No one was struck by the gunfire and there were only minor injuries from the altercation. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
