Kaye Vinson Smith, 74, made her way to Heaven on Friday, November 3, 2023. She was born in Maury, NC to the late Leslie Raymond Vinson and Nell Hagan Vinson on November 28, 1948.

Kaye served the customers and staff of Convenient Glass Company for many years where she was employed as a secretary.

Known by her family as an exceptional cook, Kaye’s time in the kitchen was always a great enjoyment. Known in her family for the many meals she shared with them, they were most fond of her potato salad, strawberry cake, carrot cake, and chocolate pies. No occasion was needed for Kaye to gather her family. Any day was a good day to dine together around the table while enjoying fellowship with one another.

Immaculately dressed and always looking her best, Kaye made sure to perfectly match wherever she went. No matter the color of her clothing, she had the complementing accessories to match.

Taking great pride in the appearance of her yard, Kaye cared for each plant meticulously. The grass was always perfectly manicured, and her flower and plant beds were well-kept and neat. Her front porch was tastefully decorated from season to season, always offering an inviting atmosphere.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Johnson officiating.

Kaye is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dennis Smith; daughters, Joey Ryan and husband, David and Leigh Ann Sutton and husband, Chad; four granddaughters and the apples of her eye, Bailey Ryan, Camryn Ryan, Samantha Sutton and Megan Sutton; twin sister, Faye V. Lane and husband, John; brother, Leslie Raymond Vinson, Jr. and wife, Betsy; and several nieces and nephews she loved very much.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
