Every week, Your Seymour Salute highlights an airman serving at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.
Staff Sgt. Trisha Himes is a weapons load crew chief and a key member of the 333rd Fighter Generation Squadron. Originally from Delaware, Himes recently stepped up to fill a Tech. Sgt. position for four weeks where she directed personnel through the proper munitions configurations of the F-15E Strike Eagle.
A 10-year Air Force veteran, Himes’ resourcefulness safeguarded the 4 FW’s capabilities as the Air Force’s sole F-15E aircrew training wing. She was also hand-selected to lead a Weapons Maintenance Recovery Team in support of a 336 FGS deployment.
Himes’ outstanding performance with this team ensured that all aircraft successfully reached the area of responsibility.
Finally, Himes’ dedication extends beyond her unit as she teamed up with the Air Force Sergeants Association Division 2 Executive Council in the creation of annual awards, recognizing 26 top-performing chapters and their members across eight states.
