Mrs. Velma “Joyce” Fryar, 82, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, November 19, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 12:00 pm at KEMBA, 860 N. Pine Street, Warsaw, NC. The chapel viewing will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the J. Bernardo Rhodes Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 195 Kenansville Hwy, Warsaw, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Wilson Chapel Church Cemetery, New Hope Church Road, Turkey, NC.

She was born on August 29, 1941, in Sampson County, NC to Willie Isaac Carr and Beulah Wilson Carr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, George W. Fryar Jr., her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
