Ms. Janet L. Jennette, 74, departed this earthly journey, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Genesis Nursing Home, Mt. Olive, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 5:00 pm with a viewing from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. The family will have a private interment service at a later date.

She was born on January 5, 1949, in Wayne County, NC to Frank Dancy and Minnie Brodie. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Jennette of Goldsboro, NC; one son, Andre Jennette, Jr. of Dudley, NC; four grandchildren: Tiffany Lewis of Raleigh, NC, Michael (Jatuann) Jennette of Browns Summit, NC, Ashley (Craig) Smith of Kinston, NC and Tamya Lewis of Goldsboro, NC. Three great-grandchildren: Ameniah Jennette, Michael Jennette, Jr., and Harper Smith. One Special great-granddaughter; Harmonii Patterson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
