Reba Lanier Smith, 72, of Faison, died Friday evening at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville. She is survived by her two sons; Dustin Smith and his wife Angel of Autryville, NC, and Jock Smith and his wife Kelly of Faison; four grandchildren, Jaden Smith, Gage Smith and his wife Danny Grace, Trey Faircloth, and Noah Smith; and four great-grandchildren. Reba is also survived by her two brothers; Harvey Lanier and wife Virginia of Kenansville, and Elwood Lanier and his wife Maxine of Chinquapin.

Reba was preceded in death by her parents; Jarvis Lanier and Mary S. Jones Lanier, her husband, Vernon “Bill” Smith, Jr.; and a brother, Lynn Lanier.

As per Mrs. Reba’s wishes, there will be no formal services held.
