The Wayne Community College Board of Trustees voted to extend President Patty Pfeiffer’s contract during their meeting on Nov. 28.
“On behalf of the Wayne Community College Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Pfeiffer’s contract is being extended for two more years,” said Board Chair Veda McNair. “Dr. Pfeiffer has been an amazing asset to the College and community during her tenure before and during her presidency, and we can’t wait to see what else she’s able to accomplish in the next two years,” McNair said.
The two-year extension begins in January of 2024.
Prior to her presidency, Pfeiffer served in multiple roles at the College since starting as an instructor in 1994. She became interim president of WCC in June of 2021 before assuming the role of president in January of 2022. “I want to thank the Wayne Community College Board of Trustees for their vote of confidence allowing me to continue leading this college into the future,” said Pfeiffer. “I am blessed to serve with incredibly dedicated faculty and staff who are committed to the success of our students. It is a privilege to work alongside them changing lives every day.” “I love this college and the opportunities we provide our students, as well as the impact we have on our community and local business and industry. I look forward to continuing to serve Wayne Community College in the years ahead,” Pfeiffer said.
