Mary Belle Souther Rose, 86, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro. Mary was born in Whitfield County, Georgia to the late W.M. and Nannie Louise Keyes Souther. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Ray Rose.

Mary was a valued employee of Barry of Goldsboro for almost 20 years. She enjoyed the opportunity to serve with her coworkers and friends for so many years. Above all, Mary enjoyed time spent with her family and friends in the retirement community of Kirkwood where she had lived.

The family will gather for a private service at a later date in Pikeville Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her step-daughters, Deena Rose O’Connor and Debra Susan Dearth, Granddaughter April Jernigan (Jeffrey) Children Sylvia, Liam, and Layla Mae, Grandson Tommy Whaley (Dana) Children Gabriel, Hannah, Xavier, and great, great granddaughter Delilah Rae, Grandson Stefan Williams (Taylor) Children Preston, Landon, Stefanie, and Stefan, Grandson William Silverstein and children Jozelyn and Aaron, Granddaughter Christina Cash (Christopher) Children Dakota, Ophelia, and Adaline, Granddaughter Ashley Dearth and son Griffin Martin, Nephew Kim Ketchem, and daughter Whitney Anderson. Nephew Mike Ketchem and daughter Kristi Prichard, Carol Souther, sister-in-law and son Sean Souther, and family whom she loved very much.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
