Steven “Stebo” C. Anderson, 70, passed away Thursday evening at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. He was the son of the late Willard and Evelyn Anderson. Steve loved his family, especially picking on his many nieces and nephews. He would also help anyone who asked him for help. Steve had worked with C&E Construction hanging sheetrock.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm in Wayne Memorial Park with Mr. Rudy Peedin officiating.

Steven is survived by his siblings, Wayne Anderson of Dudley, Mark Anderson and wife, Debbie of Morganton, Clark Anderson of Dudley, Willa Austin of Dudley, and Vicky Pigford and husband, Tom of Dudley; a brother-in-law, Sherman Best of Mt. Olive; many nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Jeannie Fowler.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sisters, Connie Best and Daryl Cartledge, and husband, David.
