Steven “Steve” Michael King, 67, of Dudley passed away Wednesday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH, to the late Paul and Shelby McLuckie and was married to the late Jan King. Steve was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed working with wood, watching Syfi movies, and working with old cars and models. He also enjoyed singing, volunteering with children, and watching football. Steve was a retired United States Air Force veteran with over twenty years of service.

A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Steve is survived by his children, David King and wife, Jenny, Christy Sellers and husband, Robert, Frank King and wife, Cathy, Ashley Mullen and husband, James; grandchildren, Nyah Elizabeth Sellers, Jordan King, Mac Sellers, Kahlan King, Shawn Matthew King and Michael King; mothers-in-law, Lavern Wiegand and Merdie Best; sisters-in-law, Sue Turner, Linda Cook, Renee Pope; and brother-in-law, Bill Best.

In addition to his wife, Jan, Steve is preceded in death by his fathers-in-law, Frank Wiegand and Billy Best; and three Angel grandbabies
