Kenneth Paul Sutton, 78, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Paul was born in Wayne County to the late Bernice and Catherine Williams Sutton on April 21, 1945. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Sutton, and sister, Frances Radford.

Paul was a very smart and hardworking man by making a living as a superintendent with R.N. Rouse for over 35 years. He later became a valued employee of Barco Building Systems.

Fishing was one of Paul’s favorite pastimes. He enjoyed being on the water, feeling the tug of a fish on the line. Above all, Paul enjoyed time spent with his family. He will be remembered by them as a loving husband, daddy, and granddaddy.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Paul’s life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Kelvin Gurley officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Sutton; daughters, Shannon Birchfield and husband, Dennis and Terri Parsons and husband, Andrew; son, Gregory Sutton; grandchildren, Garrett Sutton, Justin Jones, and Travis Jones; brother, Dale Sutton, and wife, Sandy; and sister, Ruth Sasser, and husband, Rex.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
