Elizabeth Lee Knauf Bouchard, 71, a resident of Sleepy Creek, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

Elizabeth was born in Bark River, Michigan to the late Leo and Mary Boyle Knauf on January 12, 1953. She enjoyed the opportunities given to her by helping to impact the lives of so many students as a teacher throughout the world and in Goldsboro at Tommy’s Road Elementary School and Eastern Wayne Elementary School. Elizabeth was also a valued adjunct teacher at Wayne Community College until her retirement.

Faith was a guiding light throughout Elizabeth’s life. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Goldsboro. Elizabeth had a heart for service and used her many gifts for the Lord. She also was involved in the community arts as a member of the Stage Struck Community Theatre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Parish with Fr. Roch T. Drozdzik presiding. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Paul Bouchard; sons, Andrew Bouchard and wife, Anna and Adam Bouchard and wife, Shaina; grandsons, Leo Bouchard and Nolan Bouchard; step-sons, Kristopher Bouchard and Craig Bouchard; brother, Joseph Knauf; and sisters, Catherine Sattler and Colleen Cousineau.
