Judy Hood Cuddington, 70, passed away at her home on Friday, January 19, 2024. Born in Wayne County on February 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Morris L. Hood and Allene Heath Hood. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Lemuel Hood; and niece, Holly Hood.

Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steve Cuddington; sons, Brian Cuddington and wife, Simone of Pine Level, Tim Cuddington and wife, Robin of Pine Level, and Chris Cuddington and wife, Michelle of Princeton; grandchildren, Ben Cuddington, Cameron Cuddington, Jaden Cuddington, Weslee Dove, Brayden Dove, Madison Cuddington, Callie Cuddington, and Willow Cuddington. Judy is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Hood of Grantham and Ronald Hood, and wife, Donna, of Grantham, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Nothing was more important to Judy than her family. Her love for them knew no bounds and each moment spent together with them was a memory she cherished forever. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. Judy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Judy was a faithful member of Kenly Original Free Will Baptist Church. Though we will miss Judy here on Earth, we know there was a celebration in Heaven when she walked the streets of gold with her Savior.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the visitation, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Kenly Cemetery.
