MOUNT OLIVE — Late Tuesday morning, firefighters from Mount Olive, Smith Chapel, and Calypso along with EMS units were dispatched to the Wages Carver Center on South Breazeale Ave to the smell of smoke in one of the classrooms.
When fire personnel arrived on the scene they started their search from one room to another trying to find the source of the smell of electrical wires burning. After a period of time checking the attic and other electrical devices they found that a microwave had shorted out in one of the rooms.
