Beverly Ann Thigpen Patterson, 74, was received into the arms of her Savior early on Thursday morning, February, 1, 2024, at her home. She was born to the late Stacy and Elizabeth Ricks Thigpen on November 12, 1949. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Patterson.

Beverly made her career at O’Berry Center where she worked as a supervisor before retiring after many years of service. She was a woman of strong Christian faith and valued her time as a member of Rhodes Friends Church. Beverly always found joy in singing in the choir.

Strong-willed, Beverly liked things her way. Unique in her own right, she was most concerned with the well-being of her family. When she loved, she loved hard. Protective and caring, she was most content when spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Beverly’s life at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Richard Hill officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Amos Simmons Cemetery in Albertson.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Crystal Lee and husband, David of Mount Olive; son, Billy Elwood “Woody” Patterson of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Dwayne Strickland, MaKaylah Chance and husband, Aaron, Kylie Patterson, Meagan Lee, Jonah Patterson and Taylor Lee; great-grandson, Logan Finley; sisters, Miriam Horne and Grace Thigpen; and brother, Al Thigpen.
