Kenneth Wayne Goff, 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at his home. Born in Wayne County on November 1, 1948, he was the son of the late Lester Goff and Agnes Eudell Walston Goff.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Davis, Peggy Evans, and Billy Goff.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Dwayne Goff, and wife, Jenny; daughter, Lori Tyndall; grandchildren, Megan Tyndall and husband, Cornelius Perez and Tyler Tyndall; great-grandchildren, Maci Williford and Mason Perez; sisters, Patsy Edwards and Bonnie Capps; brother-in-law, Jimmy Evans; and several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth worked with Piggly Wiggly for many years as a meat cutter. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed sharing his skills with family and friends to help them learn the trade. Kenneth loved spending time with a fishing pole in hand awaiting the next tug on the line.
Kenneth proudly served in the North Carolina National Guard.
A graveside service to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Pikeville Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Seymour Funeral Home.
