Lloyd Hinson Millard, 89, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Lloyd was born in Wayne County to the late Carl M. Millard, Sr., and Mary Hinson Millard on February 12, 1935. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl M. Millard, Jr. and William Millard.

Lloyd was a valued employee of the Goldsboro News-Argus for many years and later had a career in insurance. He later worked in repairs at Sears before retiring. Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Army.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Lloyd’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Chaplain Aaron Bissette officiating. Interment will be at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia Hollingsworth Millard; sons, Mark Millard and Craig Millard; and brother, Dan Millard, Sr. and wife, Sharon.
