MOUNT OLIVE — Friends of the Parks is hosting a community work day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mar. 2 at Westbrook Park in Mount Olive.

There various projects to complete, such as moving mulch, raking straw and leaves, cleaning signs, and fixing areas around the playgrounds. These efforts will also take place at Nelson Street Park but volunteers will all meet at Westbrook Park.

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to bring work gloves, pitch forks, rakes, shovels, wheel barrels, blowers and power tools.
