WINSTON-SALEM — Goldsboro and Farmville Central will meet in the North Carolina High School Athletic 2-A boys basketball state semifinals for the second consecutive season when the Cougars and Jaguars meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
Second-seeded Goldsboro (27-3) and top-seeded and defending state champion Farmville Central (29-1) will play at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem. Wednesday’s state semifinal winner advances to the state finals on Saturday in the same venue.
Tickets to the state semifinals and the state championship can be purchased here. Parking will be $10 per car and can be paid for with cash or card.
All of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state semifinals and state championships will be streamed on the NFHS Network. A subscription to the NFHS Network can be purchased on the NFHS website.
Goldsboro has won eight of its last nine games. Since the start of the 2021-22 season, the Cougars are 75-11.
Farmville Central’s lone loss this season came against Reidsville on Dec. 28. The Jaguars defeated Reidsville in last season’s 2-A state championship game.
