Kathryn Watson Huerta, age 66, peacefully passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at her residence. Born January 17, 1958, in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Joshua Rogerson and Hazel James Rogerson.

Kathryn was definitely no stranger to work. Her great work ethic made it a joy to work with her. For years, she worked at Wilbur’s BBQ. From Wilbur’s, she ventured to Ryan’s Steakhouse. No matter where she found herself, she always found a job to do, even in Tennessee, where she worked in a Mexican store.

She enjoyed life to the fullest. From Bingo to going out to eat one of her favorite meals of steak or chicken with a baked potato and sour cream, Kathryn would always enjoy herself. She enjoyed going to BINGO and being amongst the people there. While embarking on one of her favorite pastimes of fishing, she will be remembered for catching a shark. Traveling was another enjoyment of Kathryn’s, especially when she traveled to Mexico.

Of all of the things that Kathryn loved, she got the biggest joy from her grandkids. It didn’t matter how close or far away they were, she loved them all and loved spending time with them as best as she could. Family was an important part of her life and she was proud of the family that she had.

Her memory will forever linger in the hearts of her beloved husband, Adalberto Huerta Gonzalez; daughter, Maggie Daniels and fiance’, Christopher Sands); grandchildren, Taylor Daniels, Makayla Daniels, Jackson Daniels, and Madalyne Dashley, and husband, Colton Johnson; great-grandchildren, Raymond Johnson; brother-in-law, Ismael Huerta; sisters-in-law, Socorro Ortiz and Bernarda Huerta; nephew, Gonzalo Rojos; other beloved relatives and friends.

The family will have a celebration of Kathryn’s life at a later time.
