During Monday evening’s Goldsboro City Council meeting a proclamation was presented in honor of April being the Month of the Military Child. 

The city council has proclaimed Apr. 19 as Purple Up Day for Wayne County Public Schools. On that day, school personnel and all city residents are encouraged to wear purple to show their appreciation for military children throughout our community.
