The Goldsboro Police Department arrested an 18-year-old male on Thursday who is a suspect in multiple incidents.
On Jan. 24, patrol officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to 704 S. Best St. in reference to a Breaking and Entering in progress.
The Criminal Investigations Division was assigned to the case. After further investigation, Jakeem Damon Hines,18, was identified as the suspect.
On Feb. 15, patrol officers from the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 600 block of W. Oak Street in reference to a ShotSpotter alert. While en route to the ShotSpotter alert, Wayne County 911 center received a call in reference to a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The Criminal Investigations Division was assigned to the case. After further investigation, Hines was identified as the suspect.
On March 18, patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Olivia Lane in reference to a ShotSpotter alert.
The Criminal Investigations Division was assigned to the case. After further investigation, Hines was identified as the suspect.
On Thursday, investigators and the Gang Suppression Unit located Hines in the 200 block of S. William Street and arrested him without incident.
Hines was taken before the Wayne County Magistrate’s Office, where he received no bond regarding the charges detailed below. Hines’ first court appearance is on Monday.
Hines’ charges are as follows:
- Three (3) counts of Attempted First Degree Murder (F)
- Four (4) counts of Discharge Weapon into Occupied Property (F)
- Discharge Firearm from an Enclosure (F)
- Breaking and or Entering (F)
- Carrying Concealed Gun (M)
- Two (2) counts of Discharging a Firearm in City Limits (M)
