Monday morning just before 7 the Arr-Mac water rescue team along with an EMS unit and Wayne County Sheriff Deputies, and their dive team were dispatched to the scene of a water rescue at the wildlife boat ramp on Stevens Mill Road.

A  man was attempting to unload his boat when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled down the ramp and into the Neuse River. He managed to cut the boat loose from the trailer and save the boat, but his jeep and trailer went under.

At this time emergency personnel are still trying to locate the jeep and the trailer. The owner of the truck and boat was not hurt in the incident.
