On Friday night, at approximately 8:51, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 909 Landmark Drive.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 24-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim has been identified as Naseer Malik Davis of Cary.

Another male was detained on the scene by NC ABC officers.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene. 

Davis was initially transported to UNC Health Wayne for treatment and was then flown to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville for further treatment.

Davis is currently in fair condition. The individual detained on the scene has been released pending further investigation and consultation with the District Attorney’s Office.
