Faye Bass Hall, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Born on December 24, 1942, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Bass and Lillian Dixon Bass.
Faye is survived by her children, Lydia Strickland and husband, Brian, Jesse Woodard, and wife, Kathy; her grandchildren, Taylor Woodard, Sydney Strickland, and Addison Strickland; and her brother-in-law, Harold Hinnant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Evans Hall; her sisters, Janyce Hinnant, and Sallie Purvis; and her brother-in-law, Dallas Purvis.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chrystal, Ginger, and Lou for the care and love they provided to Faye.
Faye was a dedicated mother who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mema. She had a contagious smile and always made people around her laugh.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A funeral to celebrate Faye’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with Reverend Gavin Daniels officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Dixon Family Cemetery.
Flowers are welcomed or memorial donations can be made to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex in Faye’s memory.
