Law Enforcement Finds Another Dead Body on Sunday

Another dead body was found on Sunday in Goldsboro by law enforcement officials, increasing the count of deceased bodies found to three in three days.

On Sunday at approximately 12:34 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a call for a possible DOA in the wooded area near the 2200 block of Royall Ave.

The reporting party discovered a deceased female in a tent in the area. When officers arrived, they confirmed that there was a deceased female at the location.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene. With the assistance of Wayne County Probation/Parole Officers, the deceased was identified as Kirsten Shawnell Alves, 34, of Goldsboro.

The investigation into the cause and manner of death is ongoing however, no foul play is suspected currently.
