The Hub in downtown Goldsboro was full of runners, walkers, and spectators on Saturday morning as the Sunrise Kiwanis of Goldsboro held the 45th annual Greater Goldsboro Road Race.
Joseph Mooneyham finished first in the men’s division of the 10K with a time of 36:23.5 Mikayla Barfield finished first in the women’s division of the 10K with a time of 54;51.
Nicholas Tucker earned first place in the male 20-24 division with a time of 47:47.3. Thomas Ahern was first in the male 25-29 division with a time of 51:36.4.
Patrick Seiberg was first in the male 30-34 division with a time of 58″50.4 Mark Kearney finished first in the male 40-44 division with a time of 55:37.1.
Josh Cates earned first place in the male 45-49 division with a time of 45:47.0, Demetrius Johnson was first in the male 50-54 division with a time of 48:52.1.
Marc Hall finished first in the male 55-59 division with a time of 56:33.5. Michael Arnold was first in the male 60-64 division with a time of 48:22.6. Brad Creed earned first place in the male 65-69 division with 1:04:18.3
Georgia Woodlock was first in the female 15-19 division with a time of 58:37, Karla Bradford earned first place in the female 20-24 division with a time of 1:01:36.4.
Brittnay Splant finished first in the female 30-34 division with a time of 58:37.6. Jennifer Woodard was first in the female 40-44 division with a time of 57:19.6. Bethany Coberly was first in the female 45-49 division with a time of 1:04:48.9.
Crystal Jones crossed the line in first place in the female 50-54 division with a time of 1:03:09. Vanessa Woodlock finished first in the female 55-59 division with a time of 58:31.8.
Debbie Chapman was first in the female 60-64 division with a time of 1:18:30.8.
The Greater Goldsboro Road Run has been held every year since 1979, except in 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Greater Goldsboro Road Run is facilitated by the Sunrise Kiwanis of Goldsboro.
The event is a fundraiser to help support our purpose of assisting the children and youth of our community. The funds generated from event sponsorships and participants go toward financial support for over 20 local organizations that assist the needy children and youth of Wayne County
