On Saturday morning at approximately 9:10, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert at Kim’s Beauty Supply, at 718 E. Ash St. 

Upon the officers’ arrival, they located Kristopher Marquise Faison in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Emergency Medical personnel responded and transported Faison to UNC Health Wayne where he was pronounced deceased.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were contacted and responded to the scene. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be provided at this time. Updates will be provided at a later time.
