May 6, 2024, 42, Goldsboro —

Livius Steven Carr, Jr., 42, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro. Liv was born in Wayne County to Livius Steven Carr, Sr., and the late Elaine Wynne Weaver on May 2, 1982. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Elton and Trellie Herring; and paternal grandparents, Livius Marion Carr and Lois Sewell Carr.

Liv found his passion early in life with welding and woodworking. This was not only a hobby but became his career. He was employed as an Iron Worker with Red Iron and 3M. This allowed him to use his skills and talents in many different areas of his life.

His greatest joy was found in time with his family and surrounded by his cats. They completed his family. Some of his most exciting times were spent watching his favorite team play, the UNC Tarheels. Family, his cats, and the Tarheels made for a great day for Liv. If he wasn’t working or with his family, he could be found fishing.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Liv’s life at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Shannan Mozingo officiating.
