Larry Stump, 73, of Dudley, passed away Wednesday at Wayne U.N.C. hospital. He is the son of the late Levi James and Ruby Benton Stump and is the husband of Janice Stump. Larry had been a car detailer, as well as a lawn mower repairman, and sold antiques. He also enjoyed yard sales, trips to the beach, and tinkering with things. In his younger days, he was a volunteer fireman with the Kenansville Fire Dept.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his sons, Christopher Torrans and Christopher Rouse; sisters, Janice Mayo, Edith Turner, Sandy Cobb, and husband, Lanice; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Simon.
