Miss Taylor Ortiz, 26, a resident of the Drummersville Community near Seven Springs, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2024, in a vehicular accident.

Taylor was a member of the 2015 graduating class of Spring Creek High School.  She then obtained her associate degree in animal science at Wayne Community College.  She was employed as a property manager with a housing complex.

Taylor is survived by her son, Ayden Ortiz, of the home; her parents, Ovidio Ortiz and Maria Collazo Ortiz, both of the home; a sister, Mariela Ortiz Collazo, of Seven Springs; her maternal grandparents, Victor Collazo and Luciana Barron, both of Mexico; her paternal grandmother, Felicitas Martinez of Mexico; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eleuterio Ortiz.

The Collazo and Ortiz families will have visitation at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive on Saturday, May 11, from 6 until 8 p.m.  A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Mount Olive. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
