On Saturday morning at approximately 7:13, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a call on the 1000 block of Lincoln Drive to assist Wayne County EMS.

Upon officers’ arrival, they found a 6-month-old victim, who was unresponsive. Life-saving measures then took place.

EMS transported the victim to UNC Health Wayne, where the victim was then pronounced deceased. 

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were contacted and responded to the scene. At this time, there is no foul play suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
