DUDLEY — Thursday morning an accident involving a Wayne County Public Schools bus and an SUV happened on South Landfill Road.

At the time of the accident, the bus was carrying approximately 35 students on board.

Both vehicles were heading East on South Landfill Road when the bus came to a stop and started backing up in the eastbound lane backing into the front of the SUV. The front of the SUV was damaged during the accident.

All the students remained on the bus waiting for a replacement bus to arrive on the scene, none of the
students were injured in the crash.

Law enforcement on the scene sighted the bus driver for improper backing. The driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash.
