Nancy Weaver Lipa

Nancy Weaver Lipa

May 26, 2024, 64, Goldsboro —

Nancy Weaver Lipa, 64, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Nancy’s faith became sight as she entered into life eternal with her Lord and beheld beauty our minds cannot fathom. Born in Wayne County on August 26, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Hollowell Weaver.

Nancy was fiercely independent and strong-willed, with a heart filled full of compassion and care for others. She proudly served her country in the United States Army. Nancy grew up attending Falling Creek Baptist Church and was currently worshiping at Jordan’s Chapel Baptist Church. Her support of her church family was always a part of her. While her independent spirit never wavered, neither did her love and compassion. To know Nancy was to love Nancy.

In her spare time, she loved gardening, canning, outside activities, and spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy had a good sense of humor, a love for the yard, and a deep love for animals.

Only second to God was Nancy’s family. She was a loving mother and treasured her grandchildren as precious jewels. While she is gone temporarily from sight, Nancy will forever remain in their hearts and memories.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Ray Smeltzer officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at her home.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary Lipa; son, Jake Lipa, and wife, Katlyn; daughter, Amy Lipa Reed, and husband, Chris; and grandchildren, Wyatt, Palmer, Ava, and Harper. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Weaver, Jr. and wife, Grey; sisters, Sandra Thompson and husband, Wiley, June Scott, and husband, Jimmy, and Lisa Weaver Hartley; brother-in-law, Mark Lipa and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Lynn Lipa; and several nieces and nephews she loved very much.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given in her memory to Jordan’s Chapel Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
