Esther Garrison Parks Yuraitis, 96, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Sutton’s Retirement Center. Born in Wayne County on February 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Milford and Alma Anderson Parks.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Dominick Yuraitis; sisters, Eleanor Wilson, Milner Gurley, and Debbie Buttrum; brothers, Mahlon Parks, Dempsy Parks, Elton Parks, and Jimmy Parks.
Esther is survived by her sister, Rebecca King; brother, J.P. Parks and wife, Lillie; and several nieces and nephews she loved very much.
Esther was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro. She retired from Indiana Bell with over 32 years of service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Esther’s life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Bill Rose, Rev. Michael Parks, and Rev. Sherwood Howell officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
