Ruth Best Edmundson, 77, was welcomed into her eternal home on Monday morning, June 3, 2024. Ruth was born in Wayne County to the late T.J. and Wilmenia Brock Best on December 10, 1946. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paris Best; sister, Carol Strickland; and niece, Tammy Tew.

A service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held by the graveside at Wayne Memorial Park on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kelvin Gurley officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Edmundson; a dear friend, Donna Worley; sisters-in-law, Merdie Best and Wilma Boyette; and several nieces and nephews including Renee Pope, Linda Cook, Lisa Strickland, Charlotte Price, Phil Edmundson, Jeff Edmundson and Tracy Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Unity Fellowship Church or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
