Ruth Meeks Price, 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in San Antonio, Texas on October 15, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John Berry Meeks, Jr. and Doris Smith Meeks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Meeks Johnson.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tony Alan Price; son, Todd Price of Goldsboro; daughter, Misty Sisco of Phoenix, AZ; mother-in-law, Margie D. Price; nephew, Bobby Johnson and wife, Sarah and their children, Ruby and Lilly of La Grange; niece, Becky Johnson of Raleigh.

As a military spouse, Ruth moved with her husband to wherever he was serving and most of her career was in the banking industry. After moving to Goldsboro, she began worshiping with the congregation at Praise Sanctuary Assembly of God Church in Princeton.

With a great love for her family, Ruth looked forward to every opportunity to gather. Whether just with her sister, her children, or the whole crowd, her happiest times were when surrounded by family.

A service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held at a later date.
