Three members of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office were recently recognized at the 2024 M.A.D.D. North Carolina Awards of Excellence Banquet.

Corporal Kristopher Campbell, Deputy Kyree William, and Deputy Antonio Castaneda each received awards in the DWI Enforcer of the Year – 2023 category.

This category highlights the Top 5 DWI Task Force Officers in the State of North Carolina based on the number of arrests made for impaired driving.

All three deputies had impressive numbers and were awarded the following, Corporal Kristopher Campbell 147 DWI Arrests Ranked 1st in the State, Deputy Kyree Williams 145 DWI Arrests Ranked 2nd in the State, Deputy Antonio Castaneda 121 DWI Arrests Ranked 4th in the State.

The ability to enforce violations of impaired driving requires numerous hours of training, dedication, and time away from family.

These deputies dedicated their time and effort to ensure motorists in Wayne County were as protected as possible from impaired drivers.
