Charles Russel Rymer, 72, completed his earthly assignment on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, peacefully at home. Born In Charleston, West Virginia on January 23, 1952, he was the son of the late Roger C. and Eleanor McGugin Rymer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his “Mamaw”, Edna McGugin; brothers, Roger, Tom, and James and sister, Dorothea.

Charley, as he was affectionately called, retired from the healthcare industry as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. He had such a great relationship with his co-workers, that they were like his family. He and his supervisor Juanita were not just supervisors and employees, they were like siblings who took care of each other.

Charley was loved by all he came in contact with. He truly loved his entire family. His wife was the apple of his eye. His daughters had his heart, his grandchildren had him wrapped around their fingers, and his son in love was truly the son he never had.

His memory will forever linger in the hearts of his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara Rymer; his daughters, Kelly (Steve) and Leigh Anna Pflughaupt (Gregory); his grandchildren, Maryah, Chloe, Cody, Kylie, Courtland, and Kellen; sisters, Kathy and Helen Dee, his fur babies including his best friend Burnknee; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later time. As a part of celebrating Charley, personal celebrations of life are welcomed and encouraged by his family.
