“Each new life, no matter how brief, forever changes the world”
It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the homegoing of “Baby Panda” Corbin Allen Ahmad Miller, 3 Months Old at University Children’s Health Hospital, San Antonio, TX.
A service to honor his precious life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery 3888 US HWY 70 West, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27533
Repass will be held directly after at Larry Stephens’ abode.
Although his time on earth was short, Corbin taught his loved ones many lessons.
He taught us (C)ourage: with beeping machines, feeding tubes, multiple medications infusing from ten different pumps, and flurries of constant activity, Corbin peered quietly at the world around him with the awe of innocent eyes.
He taught us (O)ptimism: though not expected to live past his first week of life, Corbin exceeded the expectations of all involved in his care while hospitalized, from Germany to Texas. giving us hope when all seemed lost.
He taught us (R)esilience: how to bounce back from things meant to break us, how to snap back into shape after you’re bent, stretched, and compressed to the point you feel you’ll never recover.
He taught us that although life’s heartaches are inevitable, there is (B)eauty in every circumstance. Every day that we were blessed to gaze upon Corbin’s chubby little face, was a day bathed in blissfulness.
He taught us what (I)mmeasurable love feels like. If love could have saved him, Corbin would have lived on this earth forever.
He taught us that although we make many, many plans and have a clear picture of where we think life will take us, we are (N)avigated by the gentle hand of God, even when it feels as if we are walking alone.
Corbin had a tremendous impact on the lives of those who love him, and he will forever be in our hearts. Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing he’s healthy, happy, and whole in heaven.
We, the family, would like to thank University Children’s Health Hospital from the bottom of our hearts. We truly feel blessed for the care, gentleness, and compassion shown to Corbin and to us by the hospital staff.
