On Friday, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department D shift were dispatched to a robbery with a dangerous weapon call in the 500 block of N. Claiborne Street.

Officers were provided descriptions of the suspects and suspect vehicle, along with the information that they were armed with handguns. The suspects were located in the 1900 block of Maple Street, where they fled on foot from the officers.

The driver, Malik Joyner, 30, was located and apprehended after a short foot chase. Two firearms and US currency were located.

Joyner was charged with Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon, Resisting a Public Officer, and he was served with a warrant for PWISD Schedule II.

Joyner was held without bond.
