Ilene Fay Mariest Steiner, 83, of Smithfield, passed away at SECU Hospice House in Johnston County on Friday, June 28, 2024.  She was born on October 7, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Louis Joseph Mariest and Bertha Salo Meriest.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Skylar Steiner.

Mrs. Steiner is survived by her sons, James Steiner, Edward Steiner, and George Steiner; one grandson, Eddie Steiner.
