The tributes have been pouring in online since former Goldsboro Mayor Al King passed away on Tuesday.

King was Goldsboro’s first and only African American Mayor. He served as Goldsboro’s Mayor from 2002 to 2015.

King also spent 20 years in the United States Air Force and 21 years in Goldsboro’s Human Resources Department.
