NC Freedom Fest, a free, family-friendly festival, powered by Georgia Pacific, will take place on Sept. 7, from 2 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Goldsboro.
This event is dedicated to showing appreciation for our military personnel and first responders, and it offers the entire community an opportunity to come together and express their gratitude.
NC Freedom Fest also aims to honor those who have been impacted by deployment and to showcase the strong support of the community. All attendees are encouraged to wear RED to Remember Everyone Deployed, symbolizing our collective appreciation for their sacrifices.
The street festival will kick off at 2 p.m. and run until 5 p.m., featuring a variety of vendors, static displays, a car and bike show, and activities designed for children.
Music on the North Stage, organized by Hope Extended, will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Starting at 5 p.m., Freedom Field will host the main event, beginning with military awards and an art contest. An exciting F-15 flyover will be a highlight, honoring the bravery and dedication of our service members.
Musical performances will add to the festivities, beginning with Brooke McBride, who is making a much-anticipated return to the event.
The evening will culminate with a performance by headliner Parmalee, who will be coming home to Eastern North Carolina. Parmalee has achieved three number-one hits in 2023 and is currently touring nationally, promising a memorable end to the festival.
“NC Freedom Fest is our chance to say ‘thank you’ to the men and women who serve and protect our country and community,” said Doug McGrath, NC Freedom Fest President. “We invite everyone to join us for a day of celebration, appreciation, and family-friendly fun.”
