City of Goldsboro Updates Downtown Parking Rules

During the Goldsboro City Council meeting on Monday evening parking rules for downtown Goldsboro were updated.

The current guidelines for downtown parking are:

Two-hour parking is enforced from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • The 200 block of N. Center Street is excluded from enforcement until July 31. Beginning Aug. 1, two-hour parking will be fully enforced in this area.
  • A two-hour parking violation is $25.
  • Per state statute (§ 20 37.6.), drivers who display a current handicapped windshield placard or license plate are not subject to the two-hour parking regulations.
  • During the July 15 meeting, the City Council voted to give all businesses within the managed parking area the option to apply for extended parking placards for customers.

All information regarding downtown parking is available on the downtown parking page at goldsboronc.gov/parking/.
