The United Way of Wayne County (UWWC) is announcing funding support for 2025 to local nonprofits in Wayne County.
The Notice of Funding Opportunity and additional information about the grant is now available on the agency’s website.
The awards that will be made under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) are designed to address issues affecting UWWC’s four focus areas: basic needs, education, health and wellness, and financial stability.
Eligible applicants are organizations that are tax-exempt under the IRS Code 501(c)(3), incorporated in the State of North Carolina as a non-profit, render charitable, philanthropic, health, character-building, and/or social welfare services in Wayne County, and demonstrate the effectiveness of their programs based upon successful program outcomes.
This clear and specific eligibility criterion ensures a fair and transparent application process. Individuals or for-profit entities are not eligible for funding under this NOFO.
Nonprofits who wish to apply for funding must attend one of two virtual orientation sessions to be invited to apply. Orientation sessions will be held at 9 a.m. on Aug. 9 and at 2 p.m. on Aug. 14.
The sessions will provide information on the grant process, including navigating its grant management portal, e-CImpact. To register for an orientation session, please visit unitedwayne.org/501c3 and select the preferred session.
Only nonprofit agencies that attended the orientation will be invited to submit a pre-qualification application. Agencies that pass the prequalification process will then be invited to submit a full application to e-CImpact.
The United Way of Wayne County will begin granting awards in Jan. 2025.
UWWC anticipates strong demand for this funding and encourages applicants to work with the agency’s grant coordinator to prepare and register for orientations and submit applications in a timely manner.
