August 1, 2024, 92, New Bern —

Mary Lee Bazemore, 92, of 9295 NC Hwy 55 E., New Bern, passed from labor to reward Thursday at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was born August 31, 1931, in Bertie County to the late Rufus Harris & Vethel Bell Smith. She was married to the late Archie Lee Bazemore, Sr. 

She leaves precious memories to her three beloved children, Patricia Sykes, David Bazemore, and Anitras Walston.

Her life’s devotion, and service to God and mankind will be celebrated Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11 AM at the New Testament Church, Portsmouth, VA. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, VA.
