Eugene Darryl Edwards, 61, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born in Sumter, SC on December 10, 1962, he was the son of the late William Edwards and Gail Lamb Edwards.

Darryl is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Linda Moore Edwards; children, Justin Edwards (LeeAnn), Michael Edwards, and Samantha Edwards (Carsyn); grandchild, Luke Edwards; siblings, Dwayne Edwards, and David Edwards (Rita); and niece, Nicole Edwards.

For many years, Darryl served as a police officer with the Raleigh Police Department. Darryl will be remembered as an exceptional father. His love for his family knew no bounds and each moment spent together with them was a memory he cherished forever.

Per Darryl’s request, no formal services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kenly Funeral Service.
