On Saturday, State Senator and Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor Rachel Hunt joined Team Harris-Walz and the North Carolina Democratic Party to open a coordinated campaign office in Goldsboro.
The coordinated campaign office is dedicated to electing Vice President Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot.
Team Harris-Walz is continuing to invest in North Carolina with more than 170 staff and more than 20 field offices open throughout the state, and eight visits by the Vice President just this year alone.
North Carolina’s coordinated campaign is opening five more offices in rural counties: Burke, Henderson, Wilson, Lenoir, and Moore.
Vice President Harris has made generational investments in North Carolina, significantly benefiting our rural communities.
With the help of Vice President Harris, more than 500,000 jobs have been created in our state, including in rural communities, and nearly a million households have saved on high-speed internet.
With Medicaid expansion now a reality in North Carolina, 600,000 more North Carolinians have access to affordable health care, the majority of whom live in rural communities – and Vice President Harris took on Big Pharma and won, which will help 2.2 million North Carolina seniors and others on Medicare save on prescription drug costs.
“The people of North Carolina know that Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are the most qualified candidates to keep moving our country forward and make life better for working people,” said Hunt. “This office will be dedicated to energizing our community and electing Vice President Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot.”
